About

Hi!

Welcome to my blog and what will hopefully be an amusing, sometimes emotional but mostly just plain odd glimpse into my hot mess of a life. I’m a 22-year-old Londoner with a penchant for drag queens, gin martinis and politically incorrect humour, I live with a group of friends in West London and am currently ‘employably challenged’, depressed and close to beating my high score on Six!

I’ve always enjoyed writing and had a brief affair with blogging during my time at University, but now I am back for good, writing about everything from fashion and Drag to mental health and travel. I guess the purpose of this blog is two-fold, firstly it’s a cathartic release for me and secondly (perhaps most importantly) I want it to be amusing, insightful and enjoyable to anyone who reads it.

So about the title of the blog…

I am lucky enough to be surrounded by very successful and wonderful friends, almost all of whom seem to have found their place in the world and are fast on their way to becoming actual adults…I however am not. For the longest time I have struggled to feel a part of anything, instead feeling well…lost. Its only over the past few months however that I have begun to embrace my nomadic state of being and this blog will be a big part of that.

I am also an out and proud Gay man. The LGBTQ community has been my extended family for almost 10 years now and they have helped me through a lot. Whether its watching ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’, and ‘Paris is Burning’ or spending the weekend in Soho my community has been a home away from home no matter what else is going on in my life.

That is a very brief introduction to me, but hopefully the more you read the more you’ll find out. I am here to invite you to join me on my adventures as a Lost Queen. So please comment, follow and by all means take part in my shenanigans!

See you soon…

J.
